Services

Writing is a journey weaving words that bring to life characters and stories that yearn to be shared. Along the way, there may be side quests, unexpected outcomes or overgrown paths. Perhaps, you are on the threshold of the writing adventure and you are looking for a map to help you navigate the path ahead. Perhaps, you have written a first draft and you need guidance about where your story is shining and what needs strengthening. Or perhaps, you have a completed manuscript and you want a detailed review of your work. The three offerings below are aligned with each stage in the writing journey. Choose the path that calls you.

I approach each project with care and curiosity, working collaboratively with you to bring out the heart of your story.

The Intuitive Storyteller (Book Coaching)

Do you have a story that keeps you awake at night? Is this story demanding to be written and you feel unsure how to proceed? Maybe you already have ideas hiding in notebooks or perhaps you even have a couple of chapters written.

The book coaching package gives you a companion (aka me) to guide you as you nurture the story into reality. Together, we will clarify your vision and create a plan which feels achievable and feasible within the shape of your life. I will be your lantern-holder as we walk along the creative path.

Book coaching sessions are held regularly at an interval that works for you (ideally once a month). They are one-on-one and will provide you with accountability, encouragement and guidance while you write your book.

What is included:

  • 1:1 guidance and accountability for writers who have an idea but don’t know how to shape it into a book.
  • Three x 60 minute coaching sessions (to be taken across 3 weeks or 3 months — your pace, your rhythm)
  • Email support between sessions for when the story won’t let you sleep
  • A bespoke approach: we follow the needs of your book and your creative spirit.

Investment: $250 for 3 sessions. (Longer-term coaching also available.)

Availability: 2 spaces for 2025. Books open for 2026. Click here to send me a message.

The Story Mentor (Manuscript Assessment)

A manuscript assessment is a detailed review of your completed manuscript. It is a holistic, big- picture style reading and not a line-by-line edit. The comprehensive feedback you will receive is intended to shine a light on your strengths whilst also outlining opportunities for growth. You will receive guidance on structure, characters, pacing and themes.

A manuscript assessment is different from a developmental edit. While they consider many of the same topics and issues, the primary difference is the depth of feedback. A manuscript assessment is a one-off process while a developmental edit is much more substantial and has on-going interaction between the writer, you, and the editor, me. For more information about the developmental edit see below.

Who it’s for: Writers with a draft who are seeking insightful and encouraging feedback before completing any further revisions. A manuscript assessment is ideal for early drafts or works-in-progress.

What is included:

  • A detailed written report (up to 10 pages) that highlights what is working and what requires further attention
  • Practical, actionable suggestions for your next draft
  • A thirty minute call to answer any questions

Investment: $1000 for an 80,000 word manuscript.

Availability: 3 assessments between now and end of 2025. Books open for 2026. Click here to send me a message.

The Creative Alchemist (Developmental Editing)

You’ve completed your manuscript and maybe you have done some redrafting, what now you wonder? The developmental edit is a deep dive into your work and involves an initial read through to understand the entire work. This is then followed by a further close reading examining paragraphs and chapters and how they work together. During the developmental editing process, rough diamonds are transformed into a luminous work which captures the beauty and integrity of your writing.

Your edited manuscript will contain comments and feedback for your attention. You will also receive a detailed editorial report which outlines where you may need to focus on structure and pacing, or characters and dialogue. However, note a developmental edit does not look at the details of punctuation or grammar.

Who’s it for: Writers with a completed draft and one that has possibly been redrafted as well. This edit is for those who are looking for detailed guidance and feedback on their work.

What’s included:

  • Comments and margin notes on your manuscript
  • Detailed editorial report
  • Feedback on structure, character, theme and flow

Investment: prices start at $3000 for a 60,000 word manuscript.

Availability: 2 spaces for 2025. Books open for 2026. Click here to send me a message.

Optional Add-On:
